Matt Dektas, USPTA, PTR - Regional Tennis Director
Matt is a leading speaker, author, and coach in the tennis industry. He has been voted the USPTA Midwest Coach of the Year multiple times, been featured in national magazines and radio outlets, and is the author of The Perfect Tennis Parent, A Guide for Parents of Competitive Junior Player. The book features commentary from coaches of players such as Federer, the Williams Sisters, Sampras, Roddick, Djokovic, and others. Matt is the co-founder of the EX Academy (with Craig Boynton, coach of John Isner). EX has produced over 130 NCAA players and 4 million dollars in scholarships. Matt graduated from law school but has continued to teach tennis because that is what he loves to do.
Shawn Barone, Tennis Director
Shawn was a four year player at Northern Kentucky University, where he graduated with his Bachelors degree. Prior to coming to Northern Kentucky he was the Junior Director at our Cincinnati Five Seasons Club. Shawn was the head pro Kenwood Country Club and coached the University of Dayton and the Northern Kentucky University tennis teams.
Molly Molony-Greene, Adult Director / Interclub Director
Molly lives in Edgewood, Kentucky. She had been living in Wilmington, NC for the last 9 years teaching tennis at the Country Club of Landfall. She graduated from UNC-Wilmington (an NCAA Division 1 University) in 2007 with a degree in Exercise Science. While at UNCW, she played on the women's tennis team from 2003 to 2007. She went to Notre Dame Academy and played tennis from 2000 to 2003. Molly played junior tennis at the national level having learned the sports right here at Four / Five Seasons.
Ru Jayasuriya, Tennis Professional
Ru has over 15 years of teaching experience - teaching all ages and level of players. He also represented Sri Lankan Davis Cup Team in 1996 and 1997. As a junior, he participated in the Junior ITF Tour. In college, he played for Morehead State University where he graduated with his Bachelors and Master degrees. In addition, he was the assistant coach for both men’s and women’s teams at Morehead State University while he was attending graduate school. He was a high performance junior coach at CARE Academy in Chicago which has produced many college and professional players. He was a high performance junior coach at Five Seasons Ohio before his move to NKY to become the Junior Director. He also was the Tennis Director and Adult Director at Five Seasons NKY.
Nate is a graduate of Bellarmine University where he earned his degree in Exercise Science. During his college career, Nate played at the #1 singles position for all four years and earned All-Conference honors. He has been ranked as high as #1 in both singles and doubles in the Kentucky Mens Open Section, and as high as #3 in doubles in the South. At his highest level Nate has competed ITF Futures Professional Tour. As a coach, Nate has over 10 years of teaching experience. He is PTR certified and completed his 10 and Under Tennis courses. Nate has coached a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced players, including collegiate coaching. Prior to 5 Seasons Nate was Assistant to the Head pro and Director of Jr. Development at the Louisville Country Club.
Aaron is a former all conference player at northern Kentucky university where he earned his degree is Recreation Fitness and minor in Health Education. Aaron was the varsity assistant for men's and women's in 2001. He coached previously at Turpin high school for 10 seasons and was named coach of the year in the Fort ancient valley conference 6 of his 10 seasons. Before coming to Five Seasons, Aaron was a staff professional at Beechmont Racquet and Fitness Club for 17 years coaching all levels and ages. He has been head pro at 3 outdoor summer clubs, most recently Miami Hills Swim and Tennis Club. He has a strong passion for coaching at all levels and is excited to be on staff at Five Seasons.
Todd is a 3 time 9th Region Champion, State singles Champion, OVC Singles 1 , Doubles, 1 singles Champion and played on USTA circuit 1985-1986. He has also taught at the several other clubs: Arlington Country Club, Richmond,KY; Lexington Country Club, Lexington, Ky; Idle hour Country Club, Lexington, Ky; Frankfort Country Club, Frankfort, Ky; and Lexington Tennis Club, Lexington, Ky along with teaching multiple camps at NKU, EKU, UK.
Kara is a former WTA Pro Tour ranked player and has 11 Cincinnati MET Titles and is in the Cincinnati Tennis Hall of Fame and Northern Ky High School Athletics Association Hall of Fame. In college she played #1 for 4 yrs. at UC and is winningest player of all time and holds all singles and combined wins records, Conference Player of the Year, played in the NCAA Tournament, and All-American Championships. At Notre Dame Academy she was a State Champion and is in the Hall of Fame. In juniors Kara was ranked #1 in all age groups in GCTA and OVTA, and was a top National and Midwest player. As a teaching professional she is USPTA certified with over 10 years teaching experience, and coached at Notre Dame for 9 yrs. She has been the coach to nationally ranked juniors and collegiate players.
Lyndsey has been coaching and teaching all levels of tennis for over 9 years. She has coached Notre Dame Academy to multiple Regional Championships as well as State Runner-up. Her playing background includes a Hall of Fame career at Notre Dame Academy where she led her team to state championships, state doubles title, singles state runner-up and All State Teams. At the University of Cincinnati, she was the all time Doubles wins record holder and second in all time combined wins in singles and doubles. Lyndsey was ranked as high as #27 in doubles in the NCAA Division 1 . She also competed on the WTA tour, including the WTA Western & Southern Tennis Tournament at Kings Island. She is a 5 time MET Doubles Champion. Lyndsey is also a sports specific training and conditiong coach, with a degree in Health Science from the University of Cincinnati. She has trained hundreds of top local athletes in various sports.
David Leyland, USPTR, USRSA
David has over 25 years of teaching experience. Early in his teaching career, he lived in southwest Florida (Naples) where he was the tennis director/head pro at Spanish Wells C.C. and Bonita Bay C.C. Since moving back to the Cincinnati area, he has had the pleasure of being the tennis director at Summit Hills C.C., Triple Crown C.C., and Mount Lookout Swim and Tennis Club. For the past nine years, David was on the teaching staff at Eastern Hills Indoor and on the Wilson advisory staff.
